A1
- Agricultural Hydrology & Water Management Systems
Objective of this experience program is
to research and collect scientific data to support planning
methods for meeting long-term water quality goals. You will
also develop strategies to protect and enhance Florida's natural
resources, while sustaining economically viable agricultural
industry.

|
A6
- Sustainable Sugarcane Farming Systems
Objective of this experience program is to propose a sustainable sugarcane farming system, which aims to balance economic, social and ecological needs, address water storage, water flow, water quality, biodiversity, soil subsidence, carbon emissions and biofuels production in south Florida.
|
|
A7
- Analysis of Land Use for Biomass Production
Objective of the program is to design new land use systems in Florida farms, where will be taken into account complex environmental and economic considerations by balancing food production with water storage, nutrient management, soil subsidence, energy efficiency and habitat protection.
|
|
A8 - Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Subsidence of Organic Soils
Main objective of this program is to propose an alternative, sustainable sugarcane farming system for the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) in south Florida and investigate inter-relationships between soil subsidence sources, greenhouse gases (mostly carbon dioxide) in EAA farming systems.
|
|
A9 - Farm Lands Water Storage for Everglades Restoration
Objectives of this practical experience program are exploring and addressing the need for dramatically new Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) farming systems (component challenges of creating innovative farms) and developing research programs to meet these complex challenges.
