Program for Art, Journalism, Film-making or Mass Communication students.

Protection of natural and water resources requires active involvement and united actions of many professionals and volunteers. It is important to find ways of delivering research results and projected forecasts to others, using different types of communication tools.

This program offers intensive experience in accomplishing above named objectives, by creating summary video documents and presentations for delivering "call-to-action" messages to our clients, government bodies and general public. It also involves interaction with wide range of scientists, environmentalists, engineers, government officials and communities for getting objective and unbiased view on a specific issue.

List of main tasks:

• Get familiar with assigned project objectives;
• Conduct and document independent research on various topics (water resources, drinking water supply, community activism, etc.) and geographical areas (USA, Central Asia, West Africa);
• Learn about commonly used methods of interviewing, filming, documents creating and editing;
• Master associated hardware and software equipment;
• Produce different types of media products, including video clips, automated PowerPoint slide shows, Flash presentations, photo reportages, etc;
• Deliver created media to different audience, ranging from group of school students to group of senior level managers and decision makers;
• Create a comprehensive website for storing your documentation.

Lars, art faculty student from Holland, produced several documentaries, addressing important environmental issue of south Florida - unprecedented destruction of the Caloosahatchee river. His documents made huge difference in this environmental-political battle.

Should I have a medical insurance certificate if I am on B visa or while entering without any visa?
Regardless of your visa type or other terms under which you are entering USA, you need to have proper medical and health insurance certificate.

Our projects are ongoing, so you can apply any time. If you are a non-US student, make sure that you have enough time for obtaining your visa.
